This privacy policy is formulated in accordance with data protection laws applicable in Switzerland, especially the Federal Data Protection Act (nDSG), and the European General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

The competent authority for data protection in Switzerland is the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Information (EDÖB).

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the Federal Regulations for Data Protection (Data Protection Act, DSG), every individual has the right to protect their privacy and safeguard themselves from the misuse of their personal data.

The Palestinian Community Association in Switzerland is committed to strict compliance with data protection regulations.

The collection and processing of personal data are subject to the provisions of data protection laws.

The association considers the protection of personal data a matter of utmost importance and strives to safeguard databases in close collaboration with hosting service providers in Switzerland, preventing unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or forgery.

The information you provide to us is recorded in our database and used to achieve the specific goals of the association outlined in its constitution.

The technical committee processes your data with complete confidentiality, automatically in some cases, for the purpose of collecting donations and sending newsletters.

The registration data includes the following information provided when creating an account on our website: name, country/canton, phone, email address, username, and password.

For effective registration, a valid email address is required. To verify that the registration is done by the owner of the email address, we use a "double opt-in" procedure. For this purpose, a confirmation email is sent, and upon receiving the required response, you can set your password.

No additional data is collected, transferred, or sold to third parties. We adhere to data avoidance and data economy principles, storing your personal data only as long as necessary for the association's goals or as required by legal storage periods.

Once the purpose is fulfilled or these deadlines expire, the relevant data will be deactivated or routinely deleted in accordance with legal regulations.

No technical data is collected.

Volunteer Work:

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a und Art. 13), your information, including contact details provided during volunteer registration, will be used to process your request, and if necessary, we may contact you for further clarification.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL):

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the secure and safe transfer of content. You can recognize the encrypted connection by changing the browser's address line from "http://" to "https://" and the lock symbol in your browser.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, third parties cannot read the data you send to us. However, it's important to note that online data transmission may have security vulnerabilities.

Complete data protection from third-party access is not possible.

Contact Form:

If you contact us via email or the online contact form with any questions, the details you provide, including contact information, will be stored for processing the inquiry. We will not pass on this data without your consent, except for third-party consultations.

You can request deletion of your data, withdrawal of consent, or cancellation of storage at any time. However, legal retention periods must be observed.

Newsletter:

With your consent, we will regularly send you newsletters or emails to the provided email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter.
